Chelsea Clinton and the Biggest Wedding Ever
The biggest event of this weekend is Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky's wedding, which will take place this Saturday, July 31 in Rhinebeck, New York and "will reportedly set back former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to the tune of $3-5 million" (via Bitten & Bound). Rhinebeck is a no-fly zone: The Daily Nightly notes that "the FAA has posted a TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction) for the airspace overhead--due to 'VIP's' on the ground." "Thank you, FAA, for giving Chelsea & Mark their privacy! Unless Barbra Streisand starts live-tweeting. Dare to dream," says Mediaite. Meanwhile, local Rhinebeck businesses are too scared to speak to the press, says Daily Intel. RadarOnline.com has "exclusive" photos of the wedding site, but Muffy Martini wants more: "I want to know who will be there, what will she wear, what will the guests eat, and what will her favors be? More importantly, where will they honeymoon and how will this marriage affect Chelsea's image in the media?"
New Don: Mad Men Season 4 (Spoilers!)
Bloggers are buzzing about last night's season 4 premiere of Mad Men, and the creation of the new ad agency, Sterling, Cooper, Draper, and Pryce (SCDP). Don Draper is no longer living with Betty, but "even in an apartment, Don has a maid," points out Unlikely Words. "Last night's episode found Draper and his team struggling to craft their new image, outmaneuver larger firms, and execute on all the other details that a small business needs to survive," says Business Insider, listing five small business lessons from the new season of the series. Don't Eat the Shrimp has lessons for people working in PR: "Don Draper is serving as the 'face,' of the agency. He's out doing interviews with trade publications and isn't happy about it. The best spokesperson isn't always the first pick. If someone isn't up to the task, find a better face. Roger Sterling has incredible one-liners, but I don't think he's the face you want, and Bert Cooper isn't exactly friendly. Lane Pryce might be the man here."
